A former mayor of De Queen and one-time adviser to Gov. Mike Huckabee will lead the transition team for Lt. Gov.-elect Mark Darr.
Texarkana Gazette reports that Chad Gallagher will provide “guidance and dialogue” before Darr takes office in January.
Gallagher said he believes in Darr’s philosophy of government and is honored to have been chosen.
In addition to serving as mayor of De Queen — Gallagher advised then-Gov. Huckabee on intergovernmental and political affairs and was an adviser to Huckabee’s presidential campaign.
