PB police seek tips in cruiser break-ins

— Pine Bluff police asked Thursday for tips to help the agency catch those responsible for breaking into two police cruisers Wednesday night.

Stolen items included weapons, body armor, GPS systems, police uniforms, flashlights and digital cameras.

“It’s pretty brazen to do this type of thing,” said Pine Bluff police spokesman Lt. Bob Rawlinson. “We have had it happen before, but it’s pretty rare. And it’s very unusual for two to occur in the same night.”

Rawlinson wouldn’t say where the vehicles were when they were broken into.

A $1,000 reward will be paid for information leading to arrests, he said

Anyone with information about the thefts can call the Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Division at (870) 730-2090.
