Former President Bill Clinton is planning a visit to his boyhood home in Hope next month.

The Texarkana Gazette reports that Clinton is to make the stop on April 16. The visit will give him a look at how the home is being managed by the National Park Service, which took over operations of the home at the start of the year.

A dedication ceremony is scheduled, and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and National Park Service director Jon Jarvis are to be on hand.

Clinton’s last public visit to the home was in 1998.

A private foundation bought the home on Hervey Street while Clinton was president. The foundation ran the home and museum until the park service took over.
