BATESVILLE — Join Meadowland Media/Eye on Independence at 5 p.m. for a Business After Hours. The event will be hosted at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Refreshments will be served.

Bingo Night

SEARCY — St. James Catholic Church will host a bingo night at 6:30 in the Parish Hall, with 28 games played. Concessions are available, and the site is wheelchair accessible. Doors will open at 6. Quilters Guild Garage Sale

SEARCY — The White County Quilters Guild will hold a spring garage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at 108 Hefner St. in Searcy. The sale will feature quilt tops in various sizes that are ready for quilting, quilting fabric and other quilting supplies. Miscellaneous household items will also be available.

Relay for Life

JACKSONVILLE — Join the fight against cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life at 6 p.m. Friday at the Jacksonville High School football stadium. This overnight event unites the community in celebrating those who have had cancer, remembering loved ones lost and providing an opportunity to fight back against the disease. Relay for Life supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures and by fighting back. Car Show

FURLOW — The third annual United Methodist Men’s Car Show will begin at 9 a.m. at Concord Methodist Church, 150 Concord Church Road, just off Arkansas 89 in the Furlow community. Relay for Life Fundraiser

SEARCY — The White County Relay for Life Survivor/Caregiver Team will be at the monster truck races at the White County Fairgrounds. Gates will open at 2 p.m. Buy a snow cone and a chance to win a monster-truck party. Group members will also sell a variety of goodies at their tent. All proceeds will support the American Cancer Society.

Poker Run

HEBER SPRINGS — Relay for Life will host its second annual poker run, beginning at First Electric Cooperative, 150 Industrial Park Road in Heber Springs. Registration will be from 10-11 a.m. There will be a raffle and cash and prizes. Registration is $15 per driver and $5 per passenger. There will be food and music at the final stop. Coin Show

SEARCY — The Searcy Coin Club Coin Show will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carmichael Center Gym, Chrisp and South Elm streets in Searcy. The show will feature U.S. gold, silver and copper coins; collectible foreign coins; stamps; and other collectibles. The public is invited, and admission is free. Pastors’ Breakfast

CABOT — In preparation for Cabot Praise in the Park, Declare His Glory International and Colton’s Steak House & Grill of Cabot will sponsor a free pastors’ breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at Colton’s Steak House. Cabot Praise in the Park is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in Cabot City Park. The planning team for the event will host the breakfast, which will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, bacon and sausage. The breakfast meeting will be used to share the vision of the August event and to foster pastoral unity. The breakfast is open to pastors, youth or children’s pastors, and another representative from each church. Seating will be limited to the first 100 registrants. Lil’ Sprouts Music Classes

JACKSONVILLE — Lil’ Sprouts Music helps children and their parents embrace music regardless of musical or singing ability. Music classes will be held at the Martin Street Youth Center, 201 Martin St. in Jacksonville. Classes run for eight- to nine-week semesters, providing children 8 months to 5 years old with a 45-minute-a-week class of singing, movement, dancing, and learning rhythm and musical instruments. Classes cost $18 per week. For families with multiple children, the price is $18 for the first child, then $13.50 for each child thereafter. Pain Seminar

SEARCY — The Foundation for Wellness Professionals will host a seminar for people with chronic pain, numbness or tingling from their back, neck or a herniated disk. Chamber Banquet

BEEBE — The Beebe Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting and banquet will start with greetings and a silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a program at 7. Tickets are available at local banks, BCC Freight Haulers and the Chamber of Commerce Office. Tickets are $20 through Monday and $25 at the door.
