ELIZABETH MARIE HOGAN - CHAD LEE ATWELL

— Elizabeth Marie Hogan and Chad Lee Atwell were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, in the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. Judge Michael Medlock officiated.

Parents of the bride are Evelyn and John Hogan, 2006 Gunpowder Road. Her grandparents are Helen and Sheh Wun Jeu of Altheimer and Helen Hogan and Alex Hogan, both of Newport.

The groom is the son of Sue Jones of Cedarville and Dale Atwell of Lamar. His grandparents are the late Vera and Artis Collins and the late Jo D. and Herbert Atwell, all of Cedarville.

Vows were exchanged under a wood arbor with wrought-iron stands on each side holding arrangements of pale pink hydrangeas, ranunculus and hanging amaranthus. Music was by guitarists Michael Hiett and Jess Jones.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory gown with an overlay of beaded Alencon lace. The mermaid-style gown had a sweetheart neckline, V-back and chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of pale pink hydrangeas, ranunculus and anemones.

Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were Kate Loker of St. Louis and Elise Keech of New Orleans. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Waldrum of Little Rock andMarcia Enggano of Houston, cousin of the bride. They wore dresses of their choosing in shades of gray and carried pink hydrangeas and ranunculus.

Flower girl was Ella Atwell of Fort Smith, niece of the groom, and ring bearer was Zachary Moore of Cedarville.

Serving as groomsmen were Michael Atwell of Fort Smith, brother of the groom; Bill Horton of Rogers; Josh Moore of Cedarville; Chris Griffin of Fayetteville; and Jered Medlock of Van Buren.

A reception at the garden followed the ceremony. Five white tents covered outdoor patio and seating areas as well as the dance floor. Guest tables covered in gray cloths held Mason jars filled with pink wedding flowers.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for KNWA-TV in Fayetteville.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in communication from the university and a juris doctorate from the UA law school. He is a partner at Woods, Snively, Atwell Law Firm.

The couple will make their home in Fayetteville after a honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica.
