— Charlsey Kimberlin McDowell became the bride of Kyle Eugene Stroud at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Britt Skarda of the church and the Rev. William Elser of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

The bride is the daughter of Scottie Mc-Dowell and Gerald McDowell, both of Baytown, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Ethelia Worden, the late Kim Worden and Roberta and the late Raymond McDowell, all also of Baytown.

Gracia and the late Kenny Stroud of North Little Rock are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Robert and the late Mildred Stroud of North Little Rock and the late Dr. Paul and Ida Mae Dougan of Bella Vista.

Two arrangements of cream, peach and pink wedding flowers decorated the chancel. Music was by organist Jim Maase and vocalist Christy Sutherland, cousin of the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a tulle ball gown with a pleated silk-satin organza sweetheart bodice embellished with a floral jewel-encrusted band at the waist. The circular gathered skirt extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white and blush flowers.

Lauren McDowell of New York was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Kelsey Stroud of Washington, sister of the groom.

They wore nude and blush-tone dresses trimmed in light pink and carried bouquets of soft pink and white wedding flowers.

Flower girls were Brie McDowell of Dickinson, Texas, niece of the bride, and Lennon Stroud of Johnson City, Tenn., cousin of the groom. Ring bearers were Ian and Emmett Fisher of Little Rock, cousins of the groom.

Kelvin Stroud of Washington was best man. Groomsman was Clark McDowell of Dickinson, brother of the bride. Guests were seated by Graham Warren of Nashville, Tenn., cousin of the bride, and Brooks Muller of Morrilton, cousin of the groom.

Guest tables at a reception in the Capital Hotel held low arrangements of roses and dahlias. Music was by 24/7 from Nashville.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is pursuing a master’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a member of Phi Alpha National Honor Society. In the fall she will begin work as a social work intern in the Psychiatric Research Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He is a financial adviser at Centennial Bank.

After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple will reside in North Little Rock.
