— East Poinsett County held off a late charge from Junction City to win their second consecutive Class 2A boys' state basketball championship, 60-54.

East Poinsett County fended off a late run by Junction City to hold on 60-54 in the Class 2A state title game, their third title in four years and second straight. Jammar Sturdivant had 22 to lead the Warriors.

The title is the Warrior' (30-2) third in the last four years.

After getting out to as much as a 15-point lead midway through the second half, the Dragons (24-7) used a full-court zone press to force East Poinsett County into a bevy of turnovers, including three in a one-minute stretch late in the fourth quarter that got Junction City within four at 58-54.

Jori Ford's lay-up with 19 seconds left sealed the win for the Warriors.

Jammar Sturdivant led the way with a game-high 22 points for East Poinsett County on his way to game MVP honors.
