Second thoughts

— Might keep naked truth to yourself

Mike Tyson once bit off Evander Holyfield’s ear at the MGM Grand Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Now the former heavyweight champion is returning to the site to star in his own one-man show.

“Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth-Live on Stage” was cowritten by Tyson’s wife, Kiki, and playwright Randy Johnson and will touch on all areas of Tyson’s life - from his rough upbringing to his rise to stardom and the collapse of his professional career. The play is scheduled to run from April 13-18.

“It’s a theater piece, not a lecture, but a real one-man show,” Johnson said.

The piece is based on Johnson’s interviews with Tyson and will include video and live music to help tell his story.

According to newspaper reports, the show will touch onthe absurd, the inspirational, the ugly, the funny and the tragic - everything from Tyson’s love of pigeons to the loss of his daughter. Nothing is off-limits.

Tyson said he also plans to get “naked.”

“Film of me going to prison will be screened behind me and I will get naked there in front of people,” Tyson told the UK’s Daily Mail. “That’s what I call it, being naked with my clothes on.

Just telling the truth.”

Tickets for the show rangefrom $99.99 to $499.99 in the 740-seat Hollywood Theatre inside the casino.

Peyton’s new place

The Washington Redskins are among the teams who might be interested in Peyton Manning.

Wrote Janice Hough of leftcoastsportsbabe.com: “With owner Dan Snyder at the helm it’s likely that Peyton will become yet another good man who fails to make a difference in Washington.”Peyton II

From Reggie Hayes of The News-Sentinel in Fort Wayne, Ind.: “Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis (Conway, Arkansas Razorbacks) considered retiring to join the CIA last year. He probably was just frustrated and thought that would be a good way to find out why the Browns’ running game disappeared.

“Also, he tired of answering questions about his neck with ‘that’s a different Peyton.’ ” Bounty hunters

New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton blew out a knee last season when one of his players, tight end Jimmy Graham, barreled into him on the sideline during a game.

Wrote Dwight Perry of the Seattle Times: “You’ll know the Saints’ bounty system was totally out of control if they paid out on that one.”Headlines
