A Little Rock man was stabbed in the stomach by his half-brother Monday night after the two began arguing about paying the bills, according to a police report.

Little Rock police found Kurt Franzinger, 49, with a severe laceration to his stomach, which Franzinger told police was his half-brother Chris Thomas’ doing.

Thomas, 30, stopped by 1400 Old Forge Dr. just after 1:30 p.m. to pick up some of his personal belongings when he and Franzinger began arguing, the report states.

Franzinger said his halfbrother needed to help him pay the bills, according to the report.

Franzinger’s mother, Gail Franzinger, said Kurt Franzinger would not leave Thomas alone, began following him and calling him names, police reported.

The mother said Thomas told Kurt Franzinger, “You’re not doing this anymore,” and stabbed him in the stomach with his pocket knife, the report states.

Thomas jumped into a friend’s 2000 Ford Ranger and left the area, the mother told police.

Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services transported Kurt Franzinger to Baptist Health Medical Center, the report states.

The report did not state Franzinger’s condition.

Police reported that Gail Franzinger said Thomas had previously stabbed Kurt Franzinger 6 months ago. Thomas is described as a white male, 5-foot-9, 220 pounds, with brown, straight hair and a full beard.

Thomas had an order of protection against Kurt Franzinger, the report states.

Employee robbed at McDonald’s

A McDonald’s employee was robbed Monday afternoon after leaving the northwest Little Rock restaurant with money from the weekend, according to a police report.

Just as Danny Moore, 47, had reached his car at the 10201 N. Rodney Parham Road restaurant at approximately 4:30 p.m., an unknown man walked up to him and began asking questions, the report states.

Police say Moore began walking back toward the business when the man raised his shirt, revealing a handgun.

The man told Moore, “Don’t make me kill you ... give me the money,” the report states.

Moore handed over the money, and the suspect left with the money in a Toyota or Nissan car, according to the report.

The suspect is shown on the restaurant’s surveillance video pulling up to the back parking lot as Moore was counting the money around 3:47 p.m., and he waited for Moore to leave the business, the report states.

Police describe the suspect as a 40-to-45-year-old black male, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, last seen wearing a black hat, shirt and pants.
