RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture will host its 30th annual spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the greenhouses on the north end of campus. Flower and Plant Sale
MORRILTON — The Petit Jean Garden Club of Morrilton will have its annual Flower and Plant Sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Fullerton Activity Center on the west side of the Southern Christian Home campus. Many varieties of annuals, grasses, flowering vines, perennials and hanging baskets; potted containers for decks or patios; and vegetable and herb plants will be available. Master Gardeners will be on site to answer gardening questions. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the club’s landscaping projects and fund scholarships for Conway County graduating seniors. Spaghetti Dinner
NEW DIXIE — There will be a spaghetti and sausage dinner from 4-7:30 p.m. in St. Boniface Hall. The dinner will feature homemade rolls and peach cobbler. Hoof It for Heifer
CONWAY — The Conway Area Heifer Volunteers will hold the second annual Hoof It for Heifer 20K trail run at 8 a.m. The run will start and finish at Pavilion A in Petit Jean State Park and will follow the Boy Scouts of America Trail. Runners will be greeted at the finish line by alpacas and various smaller animals. Each registrant will receive a T-shirt and a finishing medal. Hot dogs and trimmings will be served at the finish. Used Book Sale
MORRILTON — The Friends of the Conway County Library of Morrilton will host its biennial book sale Tuesday through April 20 in the Southern Christian Home Fullerton Activity Center on Arkansas 95. Books can be dropped off from 1-5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the activity center. The sale will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday; from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday; from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 18 and 19; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20. The books will be sold for 50 cents a pound each day, and on April 20, books will be $1 a bag. There will be a daily limit. No magazines, encyclopedias or textbooks will be accepted. Scholarship Opportunity
MAUMELLE — The Maumelle Newcomers Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship. All residents of Maumelle are eligible to apply, as well as immediate family members of Newcomers Club members. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade-point average and cannot be the recipient of a full scholarship. The scholarship is available to those attending a four-year or two-year institution or an accredited technical college. Graduate and part-time students are also eligible. Cherokee Bingo Fundraiser
CONWAY — Cherokee Bingo will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at Bob’s Grill in downtown Conway. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for dinner, with bingo mini packs starting at 6:15 p.m. and main packs starting at 6:45 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the University of Central Arkansas Athletic Scholarship Fund.

Aquatic Conservation Camp
