NORTH LITTLE ROCK — North Little Rock police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Sunday morning.
North Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said in an e-mail Sunday afternoon that officers responded to a shooting at 4213 Turner St. around 1:30 a.m.
Officers found the victim, identified as 49-year-old Cornell Buchanon, with at least one gunshot wound, Dedrick said.
Buchanon was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Dedrick said it appears the shooting occurred inside Buchanon's residence, and that detectives are still investigating the incident.
