St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, Norristown, Pa., was the setting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, for the marriage of Laura Jane Rowe and Daniel Joseph Zollers. The Rev. J. Jerome Wild officiated.

Parents of the bride are Marjean Rowe of North Little Rock and Garry Rowe of Maumelle. Her grandparents are Marjorie Sharp and Irene Staggs, both of Little Rock, the late Harold Schultz of Huntsville, Ala., and the late William Rowe of Pine Bluff.

Marianne and Kenneth Zollers of Norristown are the parents of the groom. His grandparents are Mary V. and the late Dominic J. DiCecco and the late Mary H. and Ernest M. Zollers, all also of Norristown.

The altar held two arrangements of white hydrangeas and light blue delphinium in silver jardinieres. Music was by organist Mary Barbuto and cantor Janice Orner and included “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.”

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with a strapless ruched bodice and a full A-line skirt that extended to a chapel train. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas.

Sarah Dollard of Fayetteville served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Zollers of Hatfield, Pa., cousin of the groom, and Bethany Boytim of Lansdale, Pa. They wore sleeveless knee-length dresses of royal-blue cotton poplin with black banded trim and ruched pleated skirts. They carried bouquets of light-blue hydrangeas.

Best man was Skyler Marzewski of Lansdale. Groomsmen were John Zollers of Lansdale, brother of the groom, and Matthew Marron of Philadelphia.

A reception at The Club at Shannondell in Audubon, Pa., followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in white linens were centered with arrangements of blue hydrangeas in bubble bowls. A second reception was held Saturday at Marlsgate Plantation in Scott with music by David Glaze. The dining room table held an arrangement of bells of Ireland, blue hydrangea, purple larkspur, lavender stock, purple thistle, green Fuji chrysanthemums and purple delphinium.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Hendrix College in Conway, where she was an Arkansas Governor’s Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Hendrix College Choir. She attended graduate school at West Chester University in West Chester, Pa., and is a graduate student at Drexel University in Philadelphia, pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science.

The groom is a summa cum laude graduate of Drexel, with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science. He is a graduate student and teaching assistant at the University of Maryland at College Park pursuing a doctorate in mathematics.

The couple will live in Laurel, Md., and will take a wedding trip to Ocean City, N.J., at a later date.
