As winter becomes spring, farmers' markets across Arkansas are preparing for another year of service.

The Little Rock Farmers Market announced Tuesday that it will open for its 39th year in the River Market on April 30 and May 4.

Officials said the market will be open every Tuesday and Saturday until October from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be located in the two pavilions by the Riverfront Park at 400 President Clinton Ave.

Shoppers will find more than 20 produce items at the market, according to officials.

Angela Rogers, with the Angela Rogers Group for Farmers Market, said free parking is available for shoppers at the market's lot on Ottenheimer Plaza and in the River Market parking deck. Rogers said shoppers can also ask about Farmers' Market parking passes.
