Little Rock police investigating to two bank robberies that occurred within the same hour Wednesday morning say they believe the the holdups are connected.
Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said police received a call about the first robbery at Summit Bank, located at 11121 N. Rodney Parham Road, about 10:41 a.m. Less than an hour later, a second robbery was reported about 11:25 a.m. at the First Security Bank at 5600 Kavanaugh Blvd., Davis said.
Photos from surveillance footage provided by the banks indicate that the robber in both cases appears to be the same person.
In both cases, the robber was described as a slender, white man who displayed a note demanding money and fled with an unknown amount.
However, the robber at Summit Bank was described as wearing a black hat and sporting a beard. Witnesses at the scene said he also had acne.
The robber at the First Security Bank was reported to be clean-shaven and wearing a light green shirt with an unknown logo on it.
No injuries have been reported in either robbery. Davis said it was unclear whether the robber fled either scene on foot or in a vehicle.
Davis said police have developed a person of interest in the robberies, but he's not yet in police custody. The department was unable to immediately release any further details, Davis said.
