A Van Buren man was arrested Thursday in connection with the shooting death of his father, according to the Crawford County sheriff ’s office.
Eddie Hice, 55, called the sheriff’s office about 1:40 p.m. to report the shooting, Chief Deputy Jimmy Damante said.
Police found Velbert Hice,76, dead from a single shotgun blast, Damante said.
Eddie Hice was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder and taken to the Crawford County jail.
Damante said the two men lived in the same house and had been arguing. He said the investigation is continuing and formal charges will be filed later.
