Malvern National Bank has named Brian Coker as chief operating officer and Kyle Keeney as Malvern market president. The bank has also hired John Fowler as its Little Rock market president; Mike Rushing as Saline County market president; Rusty Guerra as chief credit officer; and Brent Godwin as chief risk officer. Additionally, the bank has recently appointed Steve Phillips and Austin Brightop as commercial lenders for the Little Rock area.

Relyance Bank,N.A. recently announced the addition of Mandi Krauss , vice president of business development in the Hot Springs market.

EDUCATION

Leah Thorvilson recently joined the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as director of development and external affairs.

Kay Dutram has been named director of the Didactic Program Dietetics in the human sciences department at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She will lead that program as well as the department’s nutrition/dietetic degree program.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences recently appointed Dr. Bernita L. Patterson to the Fay Boozman College of Public Health as an adjunct associate professor. Patterson was previously a professor in the social and behavioral sciences department at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

FOREST PRODUCTS

The Arkansas Forestry Association board of directors elected officers at its recent meeting in Hot Springs. They include: president, Pete Prutzman of Kingwood Forestry Services in Arkadelphia; vice president, Steve Hanley of Plum Creek in Farmerville, La.; secretary, David Cawein of Pinecrest Lumber-Plumerville, Fiber Resource Division in Morrilton; and treasurer, Robert Gray of Potlatch Forest Holdings in Warren.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Rhonda Jorden has been named vice chancellor for information technology and chief information officer for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

MANUFACTURING

Alan O’Connell has been appointed executive vice president in charge of worldwide operations for Camfil Air Pollution Control, a global manufacturer of dust, fume and mist collection equipment out of Jonesboro.

MEDICAL

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has named Erin Bush, R.N. as director of the South Central Telehealth Resource Center.

Sam Raney of Roland has joined Arkansas Urology as an advanced practice nurse.

NONPROFIT

Arkansas Hospice has announced the election of new board officers and members for 2015. They include Sheila Campbell, chairman; Tim Osterholm, chairman-elect; Donna Baas, vice chairman; Mike Miller, treasurer; Doug Wasson, secretary; and Brooke Bumpers, chairman emeritus.

Board members include Christopher Cooper, Sharon Davis, Frank Funk, Dr. Margarita Garcia, Dr. Mariann Harrington, Beth Ingram, Stephen Lancaster, John Lile, Don Munro, Dr. David Reding, Scotty Shively, Kenniann Summerell, JoAnne Wilson and Rebecca Winburn.

Additionally, the Arkansas Hospice Foundation has announced the election of new board officers and members for 2015: Kenniann Summerell, chairman; Vivian Trickey Smith, chairman-elect; Walker Sloan, vice chairman; Lindsey Baker, treasurer; Rob Anderson, secretary; and Sharon Heflin, chairman emeritus.
