Where I live: I live in the Park Hill neighborhood of North Little Rock. I have lived in my house for four years and in August finally finished remodeling the whole interior.
Occupation: Director of operations for the Little Rock River Market.
My favorite space is: Living room and kitchen -- an open concept plan creates one space.
Why? The space is open, yet cozy. It's not a large space but feels twice the size that it originally did -- mainly because we opened it up. It's great for entertaining because the kitchen and living room are only separated by a bar which creates a nice flow between the spaces. The bar also serves as a gathering place for food, friends and family. People in the kitchen and around the bar can easily carry on a conversation with others in the living room. Opening up the space really lets the light flow through, which I love. Now that the house is finished, I am proud to have friends over and share my home with them, and hear it filled with laughter and conversation. Every Sunday morning I snuggle on the sofa and post on Facebook "Coffee, Pups and Paper."
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: New living room seating is next on my list. I really need a sofa large enough for me and the dogs.
