Shortstop Matt Williams drew a walk to load the bases for second baseman Bruce Caldwell, who hit another sacrifice fly, scoring Wisdom and giving Springfield a 5-4 lead.

The Travelers opened the scoring in the first, taking a 3-0 lead against Springfield starter Andrew Morales on left fielder Blake Gailen's bases-loaded RBI double.

The Travelers scored again in the third as designated hitter Ruben Sosa tripled, then scored on a sacrifice fly by second baseman Sherman Johnson to take a 4-3 lead.
