Human leg pulled from Arkansas River

Authorities are investigating after a human leg was found floating in the Arkansas River Saturday, police said.

Crews recovered the leg from the Arkansas River near the Big Dam Bridge, Little Rock Police Department spokesman officer Richard Hilgeman said.

At about 12:30 p.m., Lt. Ted Haase with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said the agency was still searching the river in boats.

The Pulaski County coroner transported the leg from the scene, Hilgeman said. Hilgeman said no additional details will available until the coroner's investigation is complete.
