I-40 lanes reopened in Conway after accident injures 1

Eastbound lanes on Interstate 40 near mile marker 127 in Conway reopened nearly an hour after an accident injured one person Tuesday, according to Arkansas State Police.

State police spokesman Bill Sadler said Tuesday afternoon that the identity of the individual transported from the scene for injuries and the victim's condition are unknown at this time.

He added that additional information regarding the accident has not been made available from a state trooper working the investigation.

Authorities closed off I-40's eastbound lanes in the area about 12:30 p.m., with traffic temporarily rerouted at exit 125 through a 2-mile stretch of U.S. 65. ArkansasOnline's traffic map at the time showed delays extending back on the highway to Skyline Drive.

Sadler said all lanes on I-40 in Conway reopened by about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
