Softball League Organizational Meeting

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department will hold an organizational meeting for Adult Summer Softball at 6:30 p.m. in the Hughes Community Center. Anyone who wants to enter a team in the league is asked to have a representative at this meeting. Registration will begin Tuesday and end at 5 p.m. March 13. For anyone who is unable to attend the meeting, registration forms will be available in the Russellville Recreation and Parks Department office and at www.russellvillearkansas.org. The Hammerstone Auditions

CONWAY — The Lantern Theatre and the Conway Community Arts Association will hold auditions for The Hammerstone, by Jon Tuttle, at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Lantern Theatre, 1021 Van Ronkle St. The cast calls for four men and four women, ages 20 to 80. The audition will consist of cold readings from the play. The rehearsal schedule will likely be five nights per week. Performance dates will be April 17-19 and 23-26. Maumelle Photo Club Meeting

MAUMELLE — Weather permitting, the Maumelle Photo Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Maumelle Library. The March theme will be road art, and photos for the March display will be chosen. Discussion will include future themes for the library photo display, field trips, photo opportunities, contests and a review of club photos in MauMag.

First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break

CONWAY — A First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at Dave Ward Drive and Farris Road. Women of all ages are invited to attend. Lunch, which includes a drink and dessert, will be served for $5. Child care is available at no charge with advance registration by calling (501) 327-4066 or (501) 730-4106 by Monday. Attendees are asked to enter the church off Farris Road.

AARP Smart Drivers Class

MAUMELLE — The Maumelle Senior Wellness Center will offer an AARP Smart Drivers class from 7:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for the class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. MORRILTON — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will present Website in a Day from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce. Participants in this hands-on workshop will be taken step by step through creating a free account and building an attractive, functional, five-page website. The cost is $50 per person or $40 for Morrilton Chamber members. Seating is limited, and registration is required by Tuesday at (479) 356-2067 or asbtdc.org/training/russellville-events.

Knights of Columbus Annual Fish Fry

MORRILTON — The Morrilton Knights of Columbus will hold its Annual Fish Fry on Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 808 N. Cedar St. Carryout meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4-8 p.m., and dine-in meals will be served from 5-8 p.m. The cost is $10 for all carryout meals. Dine-in meals are $15 for adults and $7 for children ages 4 to 12. The public is invited.

Rummage-Bake Sale

GREERS FERRY — A rummage-bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at West Side First Baptist Church, 7025 Greers Ferry Road (Arkansas 92). A variety of baked goods and gently used articles and furniture will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the church’s mission trip to Africa.

Tri Sigma Arkansas State Day

CONWAY — Georgeanna Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a former contestant on Season 4 of ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss, will be the featured speaker for the Tri Sigma Arkansas State Day on Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas. Johnson, who lost 165 pounds, will speak at 11:15 a.m. in the McCastlain Hall Ballroom. Tickets are $20 for nonmembers of Tri Sigma and can be purchased online by visiting www.artrisigmastateday.com and clicking on “Purchase Speaking Tickets.”

Pancake breakfast

CONWAY — Celebrate Recovery will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. at The Ministry Center, 766 Harkrider St. The suggested donation is $5. Rotary Club Pork Butts Sale

HEBER SPRINGS — The Rotary Club of Heber Springs is taking orders for smoked pork butts. The cost is $40, with the meat weighing an average of 7 to 8 pounds. Orders can be picked up from 8-9:30 a.m. March 28 at Eagle Bank and Trust Co., 122 W Main St. To place an order, contact club president Don Brown at (501) 365-6661 or any Rotarian. Proceeds from the sale will support local charity groups and organizations.

Friends of the Library Book Shop

HEBER SPRINGS — The Friends of the Library Book Shop, 2255 Arkansas 25B N., is open from 3:30-7 p.m. Mondays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. The shop offers a large selection of books at bargain prices. All proceeds from the shop benefit the libraries in Cleburne County.
