A man injured in a shooting Tuesday in Little Rock was identified in a police report released Wednesday.

Derrick Smith, 19, was shot in the stomach at 11 Saxony Circle about 3:17 p.m., according to the report. Police said Smith was hospitalized with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Witnesses reportedly told police that Smith had been playing basketball in the street with three other people when a white, four-door vehicle similar in appearance to a Fiat drove by. The witnesses then heard a gunshot.

Investigators recovered one .40-caliber shell casing at the scene, the report states.

There was no description of the shooter.

An investigation is ongoing.
