W. Memphis teen killed in accident

A three-vehicle crash Thursday killed a teenager driver who was trying to turn onto Arkansas 77 in West Memphis, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.

Around 6 p.m., Brent Price, 19, attempted to turn onto the northbound lane of Arkansas 77 from South Worthington Drive, according to the report. As he was turning onto the highway, the 1995 Toyota Corolla he was driving crashed into a 2004 Mercury Marquis that was headed south.

On impact, the Toyota was pushed into a northbound lane where it struck a 2006 Cadillac Escalade that was traveling north.

Price died from the crash, and the Mercury driver, Demarkus Watkins, 29, of West Memphis, was injured.
