Historic poster

To mark the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program is giving away posters -- one per person for the first 200 requests -- depicting the Cotter Bridge over the White River in Baxter County.

The Marsh Engineering Co. of Des Moines, Iowa, built the bridge using its patented "Marsh Rainbow Arch" design, starting construction in April 1929 and completing it a year later. The National Historic Engineering Landmark was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1990.

Write to AHPP Posters, AHPP, 323 Center St., Suite 1500, Little Rock, Ark. 72201; call (501) 324-9880; or email info@arkansaspreservation.org. Allow four to six weeks for delivery.
