Elkins man killed in motorcycle wreck

A Friday crash in Madison County killed a 62-year-old man and injured a child, according to a preliminary report released by the Arkansas State Police.

Johnny Darrell Tittle of Elkins was driving a 1992 Honda west on Arkansas 16 at 12:50 p.m. Friday when the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road in a left curve at Madison County Road 3175, police said.

The Honda went into a ditch and overturned, causing Tittle and a passenger, a boy from Elkins, to be thrown from the vehicle, police said. State police do not release the identities of minors involved in fatal traffic crashes.

The boy was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, according to the report, which did not include information about his condition.

The weather was clear, and the roads were dry at the time of the crash, police said.
