If you are a fan of television shows featuring veterinarians and their practices, The Vet Life on Animal Planet should be on your viewing rotation. It returns for a second season at 9 p.m. Saturday.
The series features Drs. Aubrey Ross, Michael Lavigne and Diarra Blue in their Houston-based veterinary practice, where their clientele includes dogs and cats as well as farm and rare exotic animals.
The three doctors developed a strong friendship while attending Tuskegee University's College of Veterinary Medicine. They began their careers in Las Vegas before moving to Houston, and in 2015 the trio opened Cy-Fair Animal Hospital. They have a combined experience of more than 22 years.
The series provides information about the animal patients, and the doctors deliver top-notch treatment at times that can be quite serious. Along the way they find themselves in some rather comedic situations, which makes for enjoyable viewing.
