FAYETTEVILLE -- A Hindsville woman pleaded guilty Friday in Washington County Circuit Court to injecting a mentally handicapped man in her care with methamphetamine and stealing his truck and money.
Vickie Lynn Martin, 60, was charged with abuse or neglect of an endangered or impaired person, theft of property, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents, Martin was arrested in January and charged with injecting the man with meth, neglecting his needs, stealing his Chevrolet pickup and selling it to pay a drug debt and stealing his Social Security benefits.
Martin was sentenced to 10 years at the Arkansas Department of Correction with eight years suspended.
