BASKETBALL

Ex-Hogs on broadcasts

Former Arkansas Razorbacks basketball players Manny Watkins and Kikko Haydar will work as radio and TV analysts for some women's and men's games on the Razorback Sports Network this season.

Watkins will make his debut when the Razorbacks' women's team opens the season at 10:30 a.m. Friday against Sam Houston State. Haydar will work the women's game against Samford on Sunday.

Watkins and Haydar also will work two men's basketball games on the SEC Network-plus. Watkins will work games against Samford on Friday night and Fresno State on Nov. 17, and Haydar will work the Colorado State game Dec. 5 and Oral Roberts on Dec. 19.

Moore promoted to head coach at WBC

Lee Moore has been promoted from assistant to head coach of the Williams Baptist College volleyball team, Athletic Director Jeff Rider announced Monday.

Moore returned to WBC this year to serve as the assistant volleyball and head swim coach. Moore, who served as the Eagles coach in 2014-15, has 35 years of coaching experience and has been a collegiate head coach in basketball, swimming and volleyball.

Sahlmann, Sadlin lead UAPB

Britney Sahlmann had 53 assists, and Jade Sadlin had 25 digs as the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated Prairie View 17-25, 25-14, 28-26, 25-23 on Monday.

Six Ozarks players receive honors

The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team had six players receive all-conference honors, the American Southwest Conference announced Monday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kiara Henry was named to the All-ASC second team, freshman midfielder Rebecca Peterson was named to the third team, and junior defender Chance Koy, freshman defender Joey Long, senior forward Brittanie Gragg and junior midfielder Georgia Warren received honorable mention.
