A thief stole a cash register containing $2 and damaged property inside a restaurant early Thursday in west Little Rock, police say.
Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded shortly before 5 a.m. to The Pantry, 11401 N. Rodney Parham Road, in reference to a burglary that happened about 30 minutes before.
The thief broke the restaurant’s glass front door to gain entry before stealing a cash register containing $2, damaging an office door and rummaging through cabinets, according to a report.
The Pantry’s owner told officers that his alarm company called around 4:30 a.m. and advised of motion detected at the business.
An officer patrolling the area observed an unoccupied 2013 Nissan Altima parking in a nearby parking lot, the report states. Police said its driver left around the time of the burglary
No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
