Where I live: The Quapaw Quarter/Governor's Mansion District with my favorite man, Bevan; my two kids, Blythe and Brock; and our Russian Blue feline, Natasha. The house had been vacant for many years before we bought it so we renovated pretty much all of it. The only thing left to do, if we dare, is the attic.
Occupation: Musician, specifically a soprano. Between performing, teaching voice and home schooling my twins, I do home organizing and personal concierge work. Other than being a mama, there's nothing more satisfying than being onstage or having an organized pantry!
My favorite space is: Would it be weird if I said my downstairs powder room? It's probably too small to take pictures of, so close second would be my sun-room studio.
Why? The windows on three sides of the room and all the cream paint make me feel so serene and free to be creative. It has a separate entrance for my students and the light in here is magnificent at any time of the day.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Figure out how to incorporate more shelving for all my music books. That's tricky with only one solid wall, two sets of French doors and all the windows. It's just perfect for a two- or three-person "belt-your-heart-out" session.
