Business People of Northwest Arkansas

Meredith Lowry was selected the 2018 Young Woman of the Year by the Northwest Arkansas Business Women's Conference. She will be honored at the Sept. 18 conference at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Lowry started her patent attorney career in 2005 and is a practicing patent attorney at Wright, Lindsey and Jennings in Rogers.

Jennifer LaPerre was selected as the 2018 Woman of the Year by the Northwest Arkansas Business Women's Conference. She will be honored at the Sept. 18 conference at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. LaPerre has worked more than 26 years in health care and retail. She is vice president of partner solutions for Mercy Virtual.

Nita Williams joined the Allied Health Professionals staff at Northwest Health Urgent Care in Siloam Springs She was a registered nurse at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

Dr. Mary Ann Scott, a pediatric neuropsychologist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, was named a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology. Scott is the section chief for the UAMS Schmieding Developmental Center in Lowell. Diplomate is the highest level of professional recognition for clinical neuropsychologists. Scott joined the UAMS Schmieding Developmental Center in 1997.

Dr. Ryan L. Kaplan, a board-certified neurologist, joined Mercy Clinic Neurology -- Physicians Plaza. Kaplan worked in private practice in Fayetteville since 2002 and had been an adjunct professor in neurology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences since 2003. Kaplan earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Medical School and completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases and electromyography at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Arkansas Medical Society.

Meredith Krohn, an advanced practice nurse in pediatrics, joined Mercy Clinic Pediatrics -- Arkansas 102. Krohn earned a Master of Science in nursing in pediatric primary care from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Amanda Manning joined Mercy Clinic Primary Care -- Moberly Lane as an advanced practice nurse. Manning completed a Master of Science in family practice nursing at Harding University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and worked for 16 years in nursing.

Paige Boles joined Mercy Clinic Convenient Care -- Arkansas 102 as an advanced practice nurse. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and a Master of Science in nursing from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Daniel Bishop was named director of pharmacy at Washington Regional. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and a doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma. He joined Washington Regional in 2007.

Megan Alarcon joined Weichert, Realtors -- The Griffin Company's Springdale office as a Realtor.

Chelsey Robinson joined Weichert, Realtors -- The Griffin Company's Bentonville office as a Realtor.

Tyler Treat joined Weichert, Realtors -- The Griffin Company's Springdale office as a real estate agent.
