Authorities in Northwest Arkansas are investigating a man's death as a homicide after his body was found Thursday afternoon inside a home.
Deputies with the Carroll County sheriff’s office responded around 1 p.m. to a residence on County Road 116 near Eureka Springs, according to a news release.
Inside, authorities found the body of 37-year-old Christopher Alvard. The body was then taken to the state Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
No information on the suspected cause of death was released, and police didn't name a suspect or possible motive in the killing.
The Arkansas State Police said it was asked by the Carroll County sheriff’s office to assist in the homicide investigation.
