A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to the sexual abuse of a boy living in Northwest Arkansas.
Brandon Jackson, 32, of Proctor, Okla., was sentenced Thursday before U.S. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks in Fayetteville on one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.
He was also ordered to serve 20 years of supervised release.
In June, an 11-year-old boy living in Northwest Arkansas told his mother that Jackson had molested him, according to a news release from the the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.
Jackson took the child to and from his Oklahoma home over a three-year period for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with the boy, the attorney’s office said.
