Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 10, for the marriage of Ashley Brooke Pond and Dustin Lee Capps. The Rev. Britt Skarda officiated.

Parents of the bride are Judy and Robert H. Pond of Stuttgart. Her grandparents are Burnell and the late J.T. Terry of Conway and the late Dana and Jimmy Pond of Stuttgart.

The groom is the son of Patti and Gary "Pete" Capps of Altheimer. He is the grandson of the late Margo Poe and the late Earl Kinder, both of Stuttgart, and the late Ann and Robert Capps of Altheimer.

The chancel held a towering arrangement of blossoming branches, snapdragons, larkspur, oriental lilies, roses and peonies in white, cream, pale green and blush. Music was by organist Jim Maase and soloist Kara Claybrook. Scripture readings were by Blake and Ann Pond, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory column gown of beaded lace over cafe-colored satin. The bodice had off-the-shoulder sheer lace sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. She carried a cascade of jasmine vine, peonies, hydrangeas, ranunculus and garden roses.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Leah Pond Foster of Hot Springs, sister of the bride, and Megan Elizabeth Hokett of Maumelle. Bridesmaids were Lauren Ferguson of Oxford, Miss., cousin of the bride; Katie Leinhart and Tori Burton, both of Little Rock; and Lindsey Wooley of North Little Rock. They wore gowns of blush chiffon and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Merritt Elizabeth Hokett of Maumelle and Jase Henry Brown of Pine Bluff.

John Garrett Porter of Fayetteville was best man. Groomsmen were Hunter Henderson of Conway, Jonathan Dardenne of Crawfordsville, William Porter of Fayetteville and Michael Capps and Marcus Capps, both of Stuttgart.

A reception at Chenal Country Club was held after the ceremony. The ballroom held a mix of tall and low arrangements of dendrobium orchids, blooming peach tree branches, garden roses and peonies. A head table had a mix of gold and silver mercury candle holders and a garland of eucalyptus with groupings of white and pale pink wedding flowers. Music was by The Rockets.

The bride received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree in elementary education with an emphasis in reading from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She is a third-grade teacher at Cato Elementary for the Pulaski County Special School District.

The groom attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a farmer at Capps Farms.

The couple will live in Wabbaseka after a honeymoon in Antigua.
