Vehicle flips on Arkansas highway, killing 1

A 30-year-old man died Thursday when he was ejected from a vehicle that flipped on a state highway in southeast Arkansas, state police said.

The wreck happened at 4:30 p.m. on Arkansas 173 in Ashley County, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.

Troopers wrote that Brandon White of Rainbow City, Ala., was driving a 2006 Ford north on the highway when the vehicle veered off the road in a curve. White lost control and was ejected as the vehicle began to overturn, the report states.

Conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the wreck.

At least 372 people have died in crashes on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
