2 lanes of I-630 to close at night

Work on an $87.4 million project to widen a 2.2-mile section of Interstate 630 in west Little Rock will require another series of overnight lane closings starting Monday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

Crews will restrict traffic in both directions to one lane between Baptist Health Medical Center and South University Avenue from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily through Friday, weather permitting.

Traffic will be controlled using signs and barrels, the department said. During daytime peak travel hours, all six lanes will remain open to traffic, the department said. The project is expected to be complete in early 2020.
