Carroll County

Heart of Many Ways in Eureka Springs, 68 Mountain St., hosts a benefit concert with opener Rebekah Clark and headliner Don Matt at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Matt is a local singer/songwriter whose music has sometimes been referred to as the "sound track of Eureka." Clark, is a sound therapist, trained in music therapy, who often facilitates "sacred song" events.

This production is a benefit to help maintain the historic Heart of Many Ways building. A donation of $10 is suggested.

Benton County

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., celebrates the end of summer with a Back to School Bash from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today in the BVCC parking lot. Bring snacks, chairs and friends to enjoy a concert by the BVCC contemporary worship band, games, popsicles and drinks.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry invites everyone to join members on the third Thursday of every month to knit prayer shawls and baby blankets for Sharing & Caring of Benton County. The next meeting is at 1 p.m. Aug. 15 in the meeting room. No experience is required.

It's not too late to join the new Men's Fellowship Group that meets on Mondays from 8 to 9 a.m. at Papa Mike's Restaurant. Call the church office or 640-6034 for more information.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., is offering a new marriage enrichment series led by Pastor Paul Hass on Sundays during the Bible Class Hour at 9:45 a.m. This is a Bible-based resource designed by Life Way ministries. All are welcome.

Griefshare Classes begin on Aug. 29. There will be an orientation "short" class on Aug. 22, and the group will meet at 3 p.m. each Thursday, completing the 13 weeks of study on Nov. 22. Call the church office to sign up.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon and is in need of unsweetened cereal.

The Men's Bible class meets every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Quilters meet at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 14, and the Writers Group at 1 p.m. The Sonshiners meet at 9 a.m. Aug. 15.

The Sonday Riders meet at 2 p.m. Aug. 18. All two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles are welcome to join in for a fun ride, food and fellowship.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., will have a "Blessing of the Backpacks" during the regular worship service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. All are welcome to bring their teacher tote bags, medical bags, briefcases and backpacks for a prayer and a special bag tag.

Music for the service will be provided by the Fayetteville ensemble Calvin Street.

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., is hosting an International Potluck dinner at 5 p.m. today as part of the semiannual Missions Conference. Following the dinner, there will be presentations by missionaries supported by Village Bible Church.

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 14. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center.

The Men's Breakfast Fellowship will be held at 8 a.m. Aug. 17.
