REVOLUTIONARY REVELRY

Two milestones observed by merged DAR chapters

The Little Rock-Centennial Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a Nov. 17 tea celebrating two milestones.

The tea, held at the Old State House Museum, observed the 125th anniversary of the DAR's Little Rock Chapter and the 100th anniversary of the DAR's Centennial Chapter. The two chapters merged in February 2000 and became the Little Rock-Centennial Chapter.

The chapter offers educational, volunteer and historic preservation activities as well as other efforts related to male and female veterans' projects.

Several women wore vintage clothes to celebrate the event. A buffet of finger food was available for nibbles. Tea was poured from silver teapots into porcelain cups.
