It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: Eric Mabius and Tricia Helfer play childhood rivals in Hallmark movie.

It won't be long before the Christmas movies and specials go away, but Hallmark Channel is plugging along this week with a new movie and a holiday episode of one of its popular series.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas airs at 7 p.m. today. Eric Mabius (Ugly Betty) and Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) star as Liam and Sara, who have been competing against each other since they were children, striving to best the other in everything from student body elections to college applications.

The rivalry continues as mayors of East Riverton and West Riverton try to outdo each other in the annual New Hampshire Christmas Spirit contest. When both towns are chosen as finalists, the mayors have five days to plan a celebration that shows what Christmas means to their community. Their surprising collaboration yields some unexpected results.

When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas airs at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The two-hour episode finds Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) preparing for Little Jack's first Christmas and birthday. Nathan (Kevin McGarry) receives a prestigious job offer and Lucas (Chris McNally) holds a Christmas festival to bring some of his family's traditions to Hope Valley.

At 9 p.m. Saturday, while the glow of the 25th is still fading, the 2020 Winterfest Preview Special airs. Hosted by Lacey Chabert and Ryan Paevey, with guest Larissa Wohl and a slew of adoptable puppies and kittens, the show is a chance for viewers to get a first look at Hallmark's Winterfest original movies for 2020.
