Police: 3 people hurt in North Little Rock shooting

Three people were wounded in a shooting Tuesday night in North Little Rock, according to a police spokesman.

Officers responded to a shots-fired call at 8:25 p.m. in the 5100 block of Velvet Ridge, Sgt. Amy Cooper said in a news release. At the scene, officers were told that two shooting victims were at a gas station at the intersection of 47th Street and Camp Robinson Road. Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment, the release said.

A short time later, police were notified that a third shooting victim had arrived at another area hospital via private vehicle, the release said.

Further information on the identities and the condition of the victims was not available. North Little Rock police detectives are investigating the shooting, the release said.
