Replacing four pipe culverts will require closing a section of Arkansas 344 in Columbia County and detouring traffic for four days beginning Monday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.
Crews will close Arkansas 344 between Columbia County Roads 52 and 142 in the vicinity of Lake Columbia starting at 8 a.m. Monday and continuing through 5 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
Local traffic will be allowed to use the roadway, but through traffic will be rerouted along Arkansas 371 to U.S. 82 west and from there return to Arkansas 344, the department said. Traffic will be controlled using traffic barrels and signs.
