Amateur teams from across the Mid-South vie for barbecue honors in the 11th annual B Street Rib Off, kicking off at 8 a.m. Saturday in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District. The 24th annual Arkansas Hot Air Balloon State Championship, Friday-Sunday, centers on the Boone County Regional Airport, 2524 Airport Road, Harrison. The festival lifts off at 4 p.m. Friday followed at 7 p.m. by a free concert and the tethered balloon glow. Saturday's lineup includes balloon races (continuing on Sunday morning) and tethered rides.
