FANS AND STARS

The Statehouse Convention Center, 101 E. Markham St., Little Rock, will be a haven for fandom during Arkansas Comic Con, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Panel includes Hercules star Kevin Sorbo and Goonies actors Sean Astin and Ke Huy Quan. BASTE AND TASTE

Amateur teams from across the Mid-South vie for barbecue honors in the 11th annual B Street Rib Off, kicking off at 8 a.m. Saturday in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District. The Plantation Agriculture Museum, U.S. 165 and Arkansas 161 in Scott, will sputter to life during the 27th annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. GLOW AND SOAR

The 24th annual Arkansas Hot Air Balloon State Championship, Friday-Sunday, centers on the Boone County Regional Airport, 2524 Airport Road, Harrison. The festival lifts off at 4 p.m. Friday followed at 7 p.m. by a free concert and the tethered balloon glow. Saturday's lineup includes balloon races (continuing on Sunday morning) and tethered rides. REAPING AND RAISING

Harvest Night offers activities for all ages, 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Arkansas Foodbank warehouse, 4301 W. 65th St., Little Rock. The fundraiser for the nonprofit includes music, football live streaming, craft beers and wines, barbecue and catfish for the grown-ups while kids enjoy a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals and bounce houses.
