• Dr. Cesar Hurtado, family medicine physician, recently joined the staff of Northwest Health, practicing at Northwest Medical Plaza -- Eastside. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville with a bachelor of science in biology. He earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica. He completed a family medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Northwest in Fayetteville. Hurtado is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
• Dr. Blake Hansen, DO, board-certified family medicine physician, recently joined the staff of Northwest Health, at Northwest Medical Plaza, 4077 Elm Springs Road, Suite 105, in Springdale. Hansen received his bachelor of science in public health from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He earned his medical degree at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. He completed a family medicine residency at Marian Family Medicine Residency Program at Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, Calif.
• Dr. Phillip Doerner, DO, recently joined Washington Regional as a hospitalist, where he evaluates and treats hospitalized patients. Doerner earned his medical degree at the Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa and completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
• Michael Manley, RN, MNSc, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Northwest as director of clinical integration. He earned his bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a master of science in nursing administration from the university. He has worked in the UAMS Strategy Office and as outreach director for the UAMS Center for Distance Health.
• Temple Carson, MS, LPC, of Bentonville, recently earned the registered play therapist-supervisor credential from the Association for Play Therapy. Carson is a licensed professional counselor. To become a supervisor, applicants must have earned a traditional master's or higher mental health degree, worked 150 clock hours of play therapy training, have five years and 5,000 hours of post-master's clinical experience, have 500 supervised and 500 additional hours of play therapy experience and be licensed or certified by their state boards of practice.
• Nuala O'Connor has joined Walmart as a senior vice president and chief counsel of digital citizenship, reporting to Rachel Brand, executive vice president of global governance, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. O'Connor brings more than 20 years of technology policy and legal leadership experience coming from the Center for Democracy and Technology, Amazon, General Electric and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The new position will focus on how Walmart uses data and technology on concerns related to privacy, use of data and data governance, emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and records management and issues.
