Lucy Ibeh led a balanced scoring effort for the University of Central Arkansas with 13 points as the Sugar Bears defeated the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday afternoon at the Farris Center in Conway.

Jalisa Outlaw and Savanna Walker each added 12 points for UCA (2-5), which jumped out to a 37-26 advantage at the half. Briana Trigg added eight points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

Kayla Simmons came off the bench to score 12 points for the Golden Lions (1-3) while Kaila Walker added 11 points and handed out a team-high 4 assists. Khadijah Brown grabbed nine rebounds to go along with her eight points.

UCA held a 32-23 edge in rebounding. The Sugar Bears were 20 of 45 (44.4%) from the floor and 26 of 44 (59.1%) on free throws. UAPB managed 22 of 60 (36.7%) from the floor and was 8 of 19 (42.1%) from the line.

Tori Lasker and Outlaw shared team-high assist honors for UCA with four each.
