The Arkansas State Police agency is searching for a suspect in a Desha County homicide, according to a news release.
Special agents were requested Monday to lead the investigation after the body of Viola Davis, 56, was found along Kirtley Road northeast of Dumas, the release said.
Police received arrest warrants for Lavern Blackmon, 57, of Faulkner County charging him with kidnapping and capital murder, according to the release.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Blackmon's whereabouts to contact the nearest state police office.
