Eagle Scouts - Alex Keach

Alex Keach, 18, is the son of Richard and Amy Keach of Sherwood. He is a member of Troop 770 in Sherwood at First Christian Church. He and his troop worked to repair flower beds at Sherwood Animal Services and to plant pet-friendly flowering shrubs.

Adam Mann, 17, is the son of Kristin and David Mann of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7 in Little Rock at St. Mark's Episcopal. He renovated the basketball courts at St. Mark's Episcopal.

Nicolas Nguyen-Sovan, 17, is the son of Hiep Nguyen-Sovan and Valarie Stone of Bryant. He is a member of Troop 17 in Bryant at First United Methodist Church. He recognized the need for a multi-sport practice wall at Alcoa 40 Park in Bryant.

Andrew Murray, 18, is the son of Ginna and Andy Murray of Alexander. He is a member of Troop 335 in Little Rock at Highland Valley United Methodist Church. He installed a set of playable chimes near Sunset Lake in Benton.

Dylan R.H. Buckner, 16, is the grandson of Jim and Connie Simpson of Blytheville. He is a member of Troop 95 in Gosnell. He constructed aluminum signs on posts to designate football yardage markers on the Blytheville High School marching band practice field. The signs will be taken up at the end of the season and will last for at least 10 years.

Sean Oury, 18, is the son of Steve and Amy Oury of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Along with 14 people, he constructed a raised sensory garden at Adam's Clubhouse, a school for special needs children in Jacksonville.

Thomas Kent Cornwell, 18, is the son of Dave and Melanie Cornwell of Maumelle. He is a member of Troop 295 in Maumelle at First United Methodist Church. He cleaned out and tore down an old storage shed used by the Cub Scouts at First United Methodist Church in Maumelle.

Evan James Oliver, 17, is the son of Shawn and Dawn Oliver of Conway. He is a member of Troop 77 in Conway. He set up donations, volunteered and replaced signs at the Cadron Settlement Park trails, where the signs had become barely legible because of wear over the years.

Cooper Fisken, 16, is the son of Leslie and Nik Fisken of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 in Little Rock at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Little Rock. He took part in a railing project on two footbridges at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center. He completed posts and handrails of two bridges, 29 feet and 37 feet long, located on the Akin Trail at Ferncliff.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts in Arkansas by publishing their profiles and pictures.
