Officers find drugs after vehicle crash

Sherwood police arrested a Bigelow man in three hit-and-run incidents Friday morning, according to an arrest report.

Officers arrived at Seminole Trail and North Hills Boulevard, the scene of one reported hit-and-run crash, at 7:50 a.m.

They arrested Cody Richards, 31, in a vehicle later determined to be stolen, the report said. In the vehicle, police reported finding alprazolam and heroin.

Richards was taken to the Pulaski County jail where he is charged with felony possession of heroin, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony false evidence of registration, misdemeanor driving on a suspended license, misdemeanor theft by receiving, misdemeanor possession of alprazolam and three misdemeanor counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

Police arrest driver of stalled vehicle

North Little Rock police assisting a man in a stalled vehicle near 300 Pike Ave. ended up arresting the driver on drug charges Thursday evening, according to an arrest report.

Christopher Williams, 27, was arrested after the officer approaching the vehicle smelled marijuana, the report said.

Police reported finding a firearm on his person and methamphetamine, Xanax and a digital scale in the vehicle.

Williams was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he was being held without bail, charged with felony simultaneous possession of guns and drugs, felony possession of a firearm by certain persons and felony possession of methamphetamine with purpose.

LR driver jailed on drug charges

Officers investigating a traffic accident near 4603 Asher Ave., arrested a Little Rock man on drug charges Thursday about 6 p.m., according to a Little Rock Police Department arrest report.

A vehicle driven by Gregory Green, 30, had rear-ended another vehicle, the report said.

Green was driving on a suspended driver's license, and was found with marijuana and small plastic bags, according to the report.

He was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he is charged with felony possession of marijuana with purpose, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor careless and prohibited driving, and driving on a suspended license.

LR man, 54, faces drug, gun charges

A Little Rock man is facing nine charges, including eight felonies, after being arrested Friday afternoon at a North Little Rock motel, according to an arrest report.

Police officers, acting on an anonymous tip, went to the Rest Inn on 5801 Pritchard Drive at 4:15 p.m. where they detained Tony Cooley, 54, on an outstanding warrant, the report said. Cooley initially gave police a different name, the report said.

Police who searched the room reported finding a loaded pistol, methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, heroin, plastic bags, grinders, digital scales, syringes and a glass pipe.

Cooley was taken to the Pulaski County jail where he was being held without bail, charged with felony simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, felony possession of firearms by certain persons, felony possession of methamphetamine with purpose, felony possession of ecstasy with purpose, felony possession of cocaine with purpose, felony possession of heroin with purpose, felony possession of marijuana with purpose, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor obstruction of government operations.
