The new Visit White Hall website, www.visitwhitehallar.org, is now live and reflects the rapid growth of the city in a big way.

The website was built by Ron Cates and Dale Rowett of Cates & Company Creative of Pine Bluff.

Cates is a White Hall resident.

He did much of the design, research and work for the website.

“We put our best efforts into this project. We wanted to let people know there’s a lot to see and do in White Hall,” Cates said.

Mayor Noel Foster said, they “did a great job on the site.

It is easy to navigate and the buttons, “eat,” “play” “shop” and “stay,” make it easy to find what you are looking for,” he said.

The Visit Whitehall site links to other websites so that attractions or venues can be explored in great depth, Foster said.

Joe Spadoni, White Hall Chamber of Commerce president, said, “It’s a great, colorful website.”

He also said he liked the layout and the links made a virtual exploration of the city easy.

There’s a city map at the bottom of the home page.

It is a “great resource for people visiting or passing through… The website is smart device friendly as well,” Foster said.

“Of course, the intention of the website is to continue promoting our stable and growing economy,” he said.

Cates said although he lives in White Hall, he was stunned by the city’s recent growth.

“White Hall is growing by leaps and bounds even in the face of covid-19, and we wanted that reflected in the website,” he said.

The city-owned website was funded by the Arkansas Land of Legends Tourism Association and the City of White Hall.

A GROWING CONCERN

Plus, Cates said, “Noel is a hustler,” and in a good, constructive way.

For example, the mayor wants Saracen Casino Resort visitors and employees to know that White Hall is about a 10-minute ride away and has a lot to offer.

Visitors can find a steak at Colton’s Steak House & Grill or get a good night’s sleep at the Holiday Inn Express, he said.

Perhaps, they can also pick up a gift at The Clothes Line.

Foster said, “We will be working with local hotels, restaurants, and retailers to get the word out about the site so that we help each other to further stabilize our economy.

White Hall emphasizes the “shop local” philosophy, Foster said.

Cates said Foster also encourages and works to make new businesses happen in White Hall.

For example, ReadyOne Industries just opened a facility at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and is expected to employ about 150 people in 12 months and construction on the new Marriott TownePlace Suites will start soon.

Spadoni said, after seeing the website, “I didn’t realize we had so many hotels and motels (four) and there are plans to build a new one. Quite a few for a town of our size.”
