The Arkansas State Police reported a fatal crash Friday morning in Lonoke County.
Ashley Meeks, 48, of Crossett was traveling south on U.S. 165 near Toltec Drive in Scott about 9:50 a.m., when his 2015 Ford F-550 crossed the centerline into a 2007 Kenworth truck driven by 28-year-old William Jones of Stuttgart, a summary of the crash says.
The Kenworth left the roadway on the west side and burst into flames, the summary says.
The Ford spun around and came to a stop blocking southbound traffic, according to the summary.
Jones was taken to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Meek's body was taken to the Lonoke County coroner's office, according to the summary.
