Closing of lanes on I-30 project to start Monday

Work on Interstate 30 through downtown Little Rock and North Little rock will require a series of lane closings throughout the corridor beginning Monday and extending through March 15, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said.

Weather permitting, the following changes will take place:

• Lane closing on Interstate 40 eastbound between I-30/I-40 interchange and the I-30 eastbound merge ramp in North Little Rock from 8 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday and continuing daily during the same hours through Thursday.

• Lane closing on westbound I-40 from on-ramp at North Hills Boulevard to the I-30 flyover ramp over I-40 in North Little Rock during the same hours and days as above.

• Alternating eastbound and westbound lane closings on I-30 between East Second and East Ninth streets in Little Rock from 8 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday and continuing during the same hours daily through Thursday. Multiple lane closings will be limited from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

• The I-30 westbound ramp from Cumberland Street in Little Rock will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Detour is I-30 eastbound, Broadway in North Little Rock and I-30 westbound.

• The westbound I-30 off-ramp to East Sixth Street in Little Rock will be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday and continuing during the same hours the next night. Detour to Main Street exit on Interstate 630 to access downtown.

• Westbound East Third Street between Ferry and Sherman streets in Little Rock will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

• The I-30 westbound will undergo a double-lane closing between East Sixth Street and I-630, and the ramp to I-630 in Little Rock will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. March 14. Traffic will detour to Roosevelt Road, return to I-30 eastbound and take the flyover ramp to I-630 westbound.

• A shift from traffic using the left lane to using the right lane on I-30 eastbound at the I-30/I-630 interchange in Little Rock will take place from 9 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. March 14.

• The I-30 westbound on-ramp at Cumberland in Little Rock will be closed again from 8 p.m. March 14 until 5 a.m. March 15. Traffic will detour to I-30 eastbound, exit at Broadway in North Little Rock and return to I-30 westbound.

• The I-30 westbound off-ramp to East Sixth Street in Little Rock will be closed during the same hours on the same dates as immediately above. Traffic will detour to the Main Street exit on I-630 to access downtown.
